How is the Journey?

Moving right along...- It is almost June, usually the month designated as the goal to be ready to bring out the summer wardrobe. So, are we there yet? It has been a struggle these past 6 months, a very slow process for me, but I am able to say that most of my summer clothes now fit better than last year. Now, the goal is to wear the daylights out of these clothes and then get rid of them in the fall. No more putting them away for next year, because they are not going to fit me next year. There, I said it out loud!

My life with my Bible is very similar. I always have goals to move forward, putting off the old and putting on the new. Part of this action is my ability to let go of my food strongholds, set aside my so called need for anything sweet and turn to the sweetness Jesus offers me when I run to Him. This summer I will enjoy more of the sweetness Jesus offers and have my morning devotions outside on my deck, taking in the beautiful vision of flowers and sounds of birds coupled with the smells of nature. And, of course the taste of that first cup of morning coffee!

Life is good!

Scripture encouragement for today is from Isaiah 43:18-19 "Forget the former things, do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up, do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."
