This is a wonderful time of year, a favorite because there is so much new growth all around us. Nature is springing forth and usually our spirits are being lifted at the prospect of wonderful weather, summer vacations and lots of family time fun.
This time of year is generally looked at as an easier time to get our eating / weight under control. There is the promise of fresh fruit and vegetables, some even from our own gardens. There is the invitation to get outdoors more and partake in exercise by walking in the sunshine, biking on nature trails and swimming in our favorite ponds – pools – rivers – lakes – oceans! It all is so much easier and more pleasant than winter endeavors of the sort.
Do you enjoy grilling as much as I? That too is an added bonus, as food prepared on the grill tend to be more healthy than those fried in a skillet. They are tastier too. So, what is stopping you from smiling right now…oh, you have to go to work and it is Monday. Well, I can’t make everything all better – but I will try.
Enjoy the week, and remember it is Holy Week. Until next Monday here is a scripture encouragement for you. Today it is from Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland.
Grace ‘n Grins,
Happy and Blessed Easter
Judy
