Every Day a New Day

It is such a blessing to know that every morning when I wake up, I get to start again. God has blessed me with another day to work to get it right. Of course, getting it right is all a matter of perception. I may see the choices I made yesterday as wrong, but God may view them differently. The dinner I enjoyed last night was not part of my plan for eating yesterday. But I just realized that it could have been part of God's plan.

Let me explain, a meal enjoyed in the company of a friend may be just what God wanted for me or maybe for that friend. Conversation is often enhanced when accompanied by a good meal; especially one prepared by others. What I am trying to say is I need to take my focus off of food and put it back on living. I need to stop obsessing about what I eat and enjoy the food and the company.

Making good choices is much more than planning my food diary for the day. I must remember to check out what is on God's menu. His plan may be entirely different than mind. It could even include dessert.

Scripture Encouragement for today: "God has now revealed to us his mysterious plan regarding Christ, a plan to fulfill his own good pleasure.  And this is the plan: At the right time he will bring everything together under the authority of Christ—everything in heaven and on earth.  Furthermore, because we are united with Christ, we have received an inheritance from God, for he chose us in advance, and he makes everything work out according to his plan. ( Ephesians 1:9-12 NLT)
