Q is for quiet

One of my favorite Bible verses is found in Psalms 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." It is this I remembered today as I reviewed words beginning with "Q". I thought this was going to be a tough assignment, but I quickly had a quiver full of quality words beginning with this letter. I hope to quench your thirst using quirky words, but I find I must quit now and get serious.

There is much comfort to be found when we quiet ourselves before the LORD. When we are still, we can hear His voice guiding and directing our next steps, we can hear Him answer our prayers. I find it is imperative I listen; be still and wait for God.

God is in the silence
His word so gently He shares
Stay, quiet, pay close attention
My burdens He readily bears

God is in the silence
Turmoil is not from Him
His word leaves peace and promise
Believe His love, is not a whim

God is in the silence
His love always gives me a choice
Such grace he generously bestows
He is the Still Small Voice
