Monday Musings

Do-Over-Day - For many of us, Monday is the day we begin again; it is a day with no memory of last weeks' disappointment. Monday is a day of "the clean slate". Well, it is Monday and time to discuss what that means for us. For me, Monday is a day with no past, no memory of last week. Tuesday may be a different story, but just for today, I can:

1. Begin fresh
Plan a delicious menu that I can look forward to serving
2. Enjoy a new attitude
I can eat smart this week
3. Live in the moment
Take pleasure in each victory today

I am looking forward. Today my food tracker is fresh and new without a single notation from last week to remind me of my failures. The slate is clean and I am ready and willing to step into this week with courage, confidence and conviction. Oh, and lot's of prayer. I can't do this alone. I need your partnership and God's love.

Scripture encouragement for today is from Jeremiah 29:11 and reads: "For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future."

Grace and Grins,
Judy

  1. For me, Sunday evening is usually a time when I start looking forward to a new week. Menus, grocery list, updating my calendar and making plans for meeting schedules sharing our one car. Monday mornings everyone rushes out, no phone calls, no drop bys. Mondays are so wonderfully calm...a cup of tea and daily quiet time! A time I like to recall, give thanks and journal the blessings I have enjoyed over the past week. It encourages me to look forward to the possibilities that will happen this week. When I consider the reality of God's love and blessings in my life, it gives me a joy inside that lifts me up and out of the stress that leads me to mindless eating. I leave my journal on my desk so I can catch sight of it through the week as a reminder...God is good and I am far better off when I follow His plan for my day, especially with regard to eating. Thanks, Judy, for your partnership!
