Fear of Failure

Today is a new day - It doesn't matter what happened yesterday when today is right here for the taking. There is a song that says "the sun will come out tomorrow" and those words are words to cling to. Nothing I do today will stop the sun from shinning tomorrow. My defeats are only temporary set-backs. Yesterday's challenge is today's victory.

I am going to make good decisions today, decisions that will give me encouragement and support my goals. I will remember:
  • Focusing on yesterday's disappointment keeps me from moving forward
  • I will believe in myself. I believe that I can change the bad habits and poor decisions of the past
  • Living in the 'Fear of Failure' mode is not an option for me
Scripture encouragement for today is from Isaiah 43:18-19 (NIV) "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it. I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland."

  2. Yes, today is a NEW day. I face it with a smile and grace and a grin from an encouraging friend. Today I will hold on to what is good in today. I have been telling myself this first thing in the morning for about a week. It has helped me move forward and has empowered me to make better choices. When I face temptation I remember my plan for the day. It really helps me to start the day with a plan. Hold on to what is good in today! Miss you being here, Judy, it is great to still be able to read your encouragement for the day!
