Getting Sick and Loosing Weight

False Positives - Well, I have just completed my second week with some type of virus.  I never get sick - or at least never used to until I was blessed with grandchildren.  I have been struggling to get back to my busy, healthy self for almost two weeks.  I went to the doctor and of course you can't step foot in that office without being commanded to 'hop on the scale'.  I thought this should be interesting, I haven't felt like eating much for a number of days now.  Certainly the scale will be my friend this time.  But, nope - I did not loose a pound.

This just indicates to me that what I have been hearing from various weight loss programs and articles could be true.  When we eat the correct foods in proper portions they tend to work with each other in our systems.  They help to balance our body functions and promote proper digestion and all this when done according to a healthy plan, will result in weight loss or maintenance.   We all know that even when we do loose weight after an illness, it will return once we go back to our normal diet.  I like to refer to this momentary weight loss is a false positive.

Scripture Encouragement for today is from Psalm 25:15 "My eyes are ever on the LORD, for only He will release my feet from the snare."
