Choices

Spiritual Part 2 - This week let's talk about choices and how our affect us and our carefully prepared eating plan for the week. I am learning as I travel down this road that I do have choices. My self-control may be out of control but there is still that fact staring me in the face. I did have a choice.
  • I can chose to follow my menu plan for the week
  • Or I can chose to ignore it and follow my craving
  • I can take a healthy walk and enjoy the spring weather
  • Or I can stay inside and give in to the couch potato mentality
The choices I make affect me everyday. If am trying to eat more or eat less, I have a choice to make. I know how to practice healthy eating habits.

And how gracious is our Lord and Savior, we have someone to turn to who knows and understands our every need, hurt and desire.

Someone with a food stronghold very different from my own shared with me this thought; "Really it comes down to two choices. I can do things my way or God's way. I get to choose which camp I want to follow. God's way me seem hard, but if I really think about it, my way is ultimately even harder."

Scripture Encouragement for today is from John 16:33 (NIV) "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world."

Grace and Grins,
Judy

  1. Yes, my way or God's way. I read a book titled, "More of Him, Less of Me". I don't remember too much about the content of the book :-) but the title has popped up when I battle my choices of "to eat or not to eat". If I feed myself with more of Him, there WILL be less about me. Having a daily quiet time, praying, talking and reading scripture and sharing with friends gives me the attitude and power I need to keep unnecessary food out of my hands.
