Moving Forward

Today is a New Day - It doesn't matter what happened yesterday. It doesn't matter if the plan I prepared was followed just as it was laid out or if I struggled all day. Today is a new day and the perfect time to just do the next right thing. The plan I prepared for yesterday, will still work today. I am going to give it a try; not dwelling on yesterday, just moving forward today.

I am finding that I need to focus on things other than food. When I obsess 24/7 on what my next meal will look like, what I can still add to the menu for today, or how much of a failure I was yesterday I am not doing myself any good. I am learning about other things in my life that I love to do and am giving myself permission to pursue them.

It isn't easy to take my "every waking thought" off of food, but I am discovering that it is wonderfully freeing. What do you do? What is your passion, where is your giftedness? If you were not obsessing about food what dream would you be going after?

Scripture encouragement for today is from Proverbs 21:5 (MSG) "Careful planning puts you ahead in the long run;..."
Grace and Grins,
Judy

  2. Keeping busy writing, and spending time with my girls keeps me tuned out on eating.
