It is a lofty goal, getting myself to the place where I no longer live to eat, where I no longer spend so many waking hours thinking about food. I know that with God's help, I can do this. It will require a few life changes though. I am listing below, some that we can work on this week:
- Prayer - I need to be ready to pray myself though some situations. I need to stay close to God and for me that means that I have to begin my day with Him.
- Perseverance - I must be ready to admit my weakness and know that I will sometimes fall short. The thing I need to remember is that failure isn't in the falling, but in not getting up again.
- Persistence - God's grace will provide me with all the will-power I need to keep moving forward with a determination I have not experienced before.
Scripture encouragement for today is from Luke 2:8-10 And there were shepherds living out in the fields nearby, keeping watch over their flocks at night. An angel of the LORD appeared to them, and the glory of the LORD shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, "Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all the people."
Grace 'n Grins,
Judy
