It's Friday - Do you have a plan for the weekend? Do you know what you will be doing, or do you know where you will be going? Weekends are special in that they are times to rest, rejuvenate, and rebound.
Following a sound and sensible eating plan may be easy to some, but to those of us who struggle with a food stronghold it is hard work. The planning part may be the easiest, putting our plan into practice that is the hard work. So for some weekends signal a time to ease up a bit. Instead of working a new plan for Saturday, how about using a menu from a day this past week that worked well? Take a bit of a break, rest up for Monday.
Rejuvenate; find a way to invigorate yourself. What do you really love to do? Do it! Reading a book or going to a movie isn't wasting time - it is refreshing yourself as you prepare for next week.
Weekends offer a rebound. Monday will be here before you know it and we need to be ready to begin again. If last week was a struggle, remember, it is over, Monday is an opportunity to start again. The weekend prepares us to bounce back and begin one more time.
Scripture encouragement for today is from 1 Peter 1:13 "Therefore, prepare your minds for action; be self-controlled; set your hope fully on the grace to be given you when Jesus Christ is
revealed."
Grace 'n Grins,
Judy
